Fairfax County Real Estate Statistics | March 2013

ffx-stat Fairfax County like most counties in the immediate Northern Virginia area had very good real estate activity March. The biggest factors in this hot real estate market remain super low inventory (down 38%) and super low interest rates. Burke, Centreville, Chantilly, Springfield, Kingstowne and Lorton remain hot areas to sell a home in Fairfax county. The combination of those factors are expected to keep Fairfax firmly slanted in the seller’s favor through the summer. If you purchased a home in Fairfax county between 2008-2010 and plan on keeping it, you should be seriously thinking about REFINANCING.

Prince William County Real Estate Statistics | March 2013

pw-stat

The month of March was a good one in the world of Prince William County real estate.  Greater Woodbridge, Lake Ridge, Manassas and Bristow all experienced better than average growth for anyone who decided to sell a home.  Dumfries slowed down a bit, but we don’t expect that to last.  Potomac Shores in Cherry Hill is about to start rocking and rolling in Dumfries, and we expect that area to boost sales in 22026 like Wegman’s in Stonebridge did for 22191 and 22193.

  • Average SOLD price up 11% (Can these gains continue?)

  • Active Listings down 28%  (Still a super seller’s market)
