Clifton

It is a town in the southwestern Fairfax County, Virginia, United States. It stands at 210 in terms of population according to 2010 census. Established about a century ago, Clifton enjoys much of history to this date. It is considered the first town to be incorporated in the Fairfax County, one of three present. Clifton enjoys much warm-temperate climate with cool winters, hot summers, mild falls and springs.

Kids in the town go to Clifton Elementary School, at their middle and high school level they head to Robinson Secondary School. Points of interest in Clifton include parks (Bull Run Marina Regional Park, Chapel Road Park, Clifton Park, Fountainhead Regional Park, Hemlock Overlook Regional Park and Kincheloe Park.

You can enjoy your golfing at Twin Lakes GC, Virginia Gold Center & Academy and Westfields GC at Balmoral. Clifton people are in possession of current affairs through the distribution of the CentreView newspaper. Also located in Clifton are elegant shopping centers and restaurants such as The Colonnade at Union Mill, Clifton Café and Peterson’s Ice Cream Depot to name a few. Notable residents of Clifton include Robin Beard (former Tennessee congressman) and Randy Thompson (country singer).

Another cool thing about Clifton is its calendar; the town enjoys great events that bring the town people together. Some of the events include 5k race (June), Clifton Day and Holiday Candlelight Tour to name a few.
